Meet the photographer... aka your biggest teammate.
Your wedding day is just the beginning and it should be focused on just that... your MARRIAGE. I am so passionate about helping couples navigate the sticky planning process and weed through the logistics so that you can get back to the parts that actually matter!

Feeling overwhelmed about all the things you have to squeeze into your big day? From all the getting ready moments to the candids to the sunset photos...
It’s a lot!
Luckily.. as a wedding photographer, I have created and experienced MANY.. so I know how important your wedding timeline truly is (and how to make it work well).

Your wedding day timeline is the secret to a stress-free day
Plan your day, give it to your vendors.. and then..
let go and participate.
You only get to LIVE it once so savor.

1. Pay attention to sunset times on your wedding day.
This is the number one mistake I see couples(and venues) make. This should be determined before you even decide on your ceremony time!
You will need a minimum of 1.5 hours between the end of your ceremony and sunset to capture family photos, bridal party photos, and your sunset portraits.
Your sunset photos and family photos are some of the most important photos you will take all day. They should always get priority lighting when its possible.

2. Discuss with your partner if you will do a first look or not
No one can decide this for you... sure, a first look makes things easier on a logistical level, but this isn’t just an event. this is the beginning of your marriage. Those moments with each other should come before anything else, including the conveniences of your guests.
Decide this before you start building your timeline. It will impact the order of everything else significantly.

3. Start with your ceremony and work outwards
otherwise, you will be staring at your schedule, guessing what time your day should begin. Once you have determined when the ceremony will start, you’ll know what time you need to be dressed... which will tell you what time to start makeup.. ect.

4. Consult with your vendors
especially your photographer.. and your HMUA. Your timeline will not work if your team doesn’t have enough time to do their jobs. Let them be the experts you hired them to be...

5. Dont forget to consider travel times between locations
...and give yourself lots of buffer time because things always run late on wedding days. Elimnate that stress!

Finally, remember, that there is no right way to get married.
Your wedding is as unique as your relationship... embrace it and do things your way.
